World Cup 2026

In June 2026, I traveled to Vancouver, British Columbia, to cover the FIFA World Cup group stage as a photographer for the Associated Press. Over the course of the tournament, I photographed five matches from both field level and the media tribune, adapting to different perspectives while documenting the action and atmosphere of one of the world's biggest sporting events. My images were distributed by the Associated Press and published by outlets including The Washington Post, The Guardian and the Toronto Star. This gallery features some of my favorite moments from covering the 2026 World Cup.

This is an 86-photo slideshow put together at 27 frames per second. The slideshow captures the Australian team’s first goal of the World Cup, scored by Nestory Irankunda in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Saturday, June 13, 2026. This was also the first goal of the Group D match between Australia and Turkey during the World Cup.
